Sadly, we have come to the conclusion the outdoor swimming pool will no longer be available at Clippesby Hall. The pool was originally part of the family home and was opened to the public several decades ago.
It has always been a popular pool; small, outdoor, a little chilly yet enjoyed by many of our guests over the years. The pool was open daily from mid-May to mid-September.
The health and safety issues highlighted as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, left us with no choice but to close the pool throughout 2020. Looking forward and having carried out further risk assessments, weighing up the viability of the changes we would need to make, we have decided it is not possible to reopen safely without the presence of lifeguards, a change of depth and a change to the actual size.
These changes would be very costly and as a result our site fees would need to increase considerably. This isn’t something we want to do as we feel the increase could deter bookings.
We are very sorry and aware this closure will be disappointing news for many people.
Our primary objective is to safeguard the enjoyment, happiness and wellbeing for all those who visit. We aim to remain popular as a holiday park and will continue investing into our Park facilities.
